Which Orchid Suits the Occasion
A single white phalaenopsis in a ceramic pot is the safest beautiful gift we sell. It reads as considered rather than extravagant, it suits an office desk as easily as a hallway table, and it will still be flowering long after a bouquet would have gone over.
Multi-stem arrangements are the ones people choose when the gesture needs to be larger — a milestone birthday, a new home, a thank-you that a bouquet would undersell. Set in glass with moss and stone, they hold their shape for months and ask almost nothing in return.
And if you are buying for someone who kills houseplants: orchids are far more forgiving than their reputation suggests. They want bright indirect light, no direct sun, and a great deal less water than instinct says.
Keeping It Flowering

A bright room away from a south-facing windowsill. Scorched leaves are the most common thing we see.
Water sparingly
A small amount once a week is plenty, and less in winter. Standing water at the roots is what actually kills orchids.
Leave it be after flowering
When the last bloom drops the plant is not finished. Keep it warm and lit and it will very often send up a second spike.

Can orchids be delivered same-day?
Yes, within our same-day postcodes and if the order is placed before 2pm. Use the checker above and it will confirm your area and the earliest date.
How long will it last?
A healthy phalaenopsis typically holds its flowers for two to three months, and the plant itself lasts for years. That is the whole argument for an orchid over a bouquet.
Do you deliver orchids to offices?
Often. They suit reception desks and boardrooms particularly well because they need so little attention. If you want them replaced on a regular cycle, that is our contract service rather than a one-off order.
Can I send one as a sympathy gift?
A white orchid is one of the more thoughtful sympathy gifts, precisely because it stays long after the funeral flowers have gone. We can write a card message to go with it.
