The High Road end near the tube is dense and shop-fronted; the streets rising toward Fortis Green are Victorian terrace and can be parking-hostile; and the Hampstead Garden Suburb side is set back off long private drives that a national courier will happily give up on. Because our driver leaves from Temple Fortune, the whole postcode is a short, familiar loop and we know which end of each road to approach from.
